The molding lifter is the ideal tool to use to remove tack strip from the floor. If the tack strip is installed into concrete, tap the side of the tack strip with a hammer at the nail prior to using the molding lifter.
This tool gives positive leverage control to avoid denting the baseboard. It is also specially designed to lift the molding at approximately the same angle that the nails were driven thus used often in water damage restoration. Make sure you use a wall scraper behind the molding lifter if the drywall is wet.
The smoothly ground slim ends enter easily under the moldings, and both are notched for nail and brad pulling. The top grade tool steel is hardened and tempered for maximum toughness. finished with a rust proof bright nickel plating. Tool is 10 1/2" long and weighs 1/2 lb.
